All Star Teams
Spring 2005

CHINO HILLS USA BASEBALL ALL-STARS
Objective: To provide an incentive for Coaches to work with their regular season teams in skills development, sportsmanship, team work and to build good character. To provide an incentive for Players to do their best on the field and reward hustle, team work, and sportsmanship. To provide a format to field the best all-star teams to represent the Chino Hills USA Baseball League in competitive play in the post season free of adult agendas.
All final rosters must be approved by the Board of Directors. Each Manager/Coach, regardless of final team standing, must be approved by the CHUSA Board.
PLAYER NOMINATIONS

Each manager should submit players from their teams as All-Star nominations. There is not a limit as to how many can be nominated - BUT the player and the player's family must approve the nomination! The player / player's family must understand the commitment involved BEFORE being nominated.

Send the nominees to me at chusabaseball@yahoo.com. A list will be created of each division's nominees.

To nominate a player, include the following information:
* Players full name
* Division and Team
* Parents names

* Phone number
* Comments you'd like to make about the player

The nomination list will be given to the All Star manager of each team. Each player and his parent(s) will be required to sign a commitment letter to the All-Star program prior to playing on the All-Star team.

Letter of Commitment in PDF or WORD.

No player will be permitted to play in an All-Star team without the signed Letter of Commitment.

SELECTING THE MANAGER

Each Manager/Coach, regardless of final team standing, must be approved by the CHUSA Board.

The Manager of each Division’s Championship Team following the play-offs is the first considered for the All-Star Manager position. If he/she declines then the 2nd place team’s Manager is then considered for the position, etc.

SELECTING THE TEAM

All-Star teams will consist of 13 players. There are 2 teams per division. (That makes a total of 26 kids per division.)

There must be a minimum of 2 players from each team of the division represented in the combined All Star teams. (For example, out of the 26 All Star players per division, there must be (a minimum of) 2 Angels, 2 Dodgers, etc.) A maximum of 5 players may be selected from any one team.

All rosters must be approved by the Board of Directors. CHUSA requires that All-Stars have a 2.0 Grade Point Average and that Birth Certificates are checked.

WINNING DIVISION MANAGERS

All-Star Managers will be determined later in the season.
